I am sad I missed the live! Always so intriguing to read about the other's processes. I too, like repetitive, quiet tasks that allow my writer's brain to breathe. Long distance road trips are good for that too.

I could so relate to her description of reading her diaries from her 20s: ‘At the same time, I can see the shadows of my present-day sensibilities and personality in there, too. Reading it feels a bit like time travel, but with a pane of plexiglass between the now-me and past-me.’ Beautifully said!
